Dawwama Iraq's dollar & gold, measured العربية

Methodology

generated 02:00 Baghdad time

Every number on this site is a consensus computed from multiple independent sources. Outliers are rejected, and when sources disagree beyond tolerance the last verified value is shown with its own timestamp instead of publishing a guess.

What this site publishes

Dawwama publishes measured reference rates for Iraq — what the market is actually trading at, observed and computed rather than declared. It carries 36 series from 6 registered sources, refreshed every hour.

The headline number is USD (Parallel / Baghdad bourse) — measured from 2 independent sources each cycle.

How a number is computed

Consensus: normalize, collapse correlated sources into one signal, reject outliers, average, round.

Sources that republish each other are collapsed into ONE signal, not counted separately — a number echoed many times does not become more true.

When we do not publish

Guard: implausible jumps and scattered sources are HELD — the last verified value stays, labeled with its own time. No silent guesses.

If a number cannot be computed honestly it is shown as its last verified value with its own timestamp, or it is simply absent. An absent row means we had no number we trusted — never that the rate is zero.

Timestamps

Every value carries its own as-of timestamp; stale values are visibly marked.

Rates shown as calculated are derived from the Baghdad bourse dollar and global cross-rates; they are not separately quoted by a dealer.

What this is not

We measure the market; we do not set it. Dawwama does not buy, sell or exchange currency or gold, quotes no price you can trade against, and gives no financial advice. A dealer's counter price will differ from the consensus shown here.
